Luis Suárez continues being the protagonist of the news. According to the newspaper ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, the Italian Police have opened an investigation due to the irregularities found in the examination that the Barcelona striker took to obtain the Italian passport.

For the authorities, the test by which the Uruguayan crack passed the last week in Perugia, was arranged. The still scorer of FC Barcelona knew in advance all the answers of the exam, whose approval was necessary to sign for Juventus.

"Earn 10 million, you have to pass the exam"; "But if you can't conjugate verbs and only speak in the infinitive"; "Tell me what grade I give and that's it"; “If you don't approve, they put a bomb on us”; "We have prepared him well, he is memorizing part of the exam", expressed some of those responsible in the test of the Uruguayan striker.

"Irregularities arose in the certification test of the Italian language, carried out on September 17, of the Uruguayan soccer player Luis Alberto SUÁREZ DÍAZ, necessary for obtaining Italian citizenship," reads the official police document to which the newspaper 'Brand' had access.

“From the investigated activities, it can be deduced that the topics covered by the exam were previously agreed upon with the candidate and that the relative score was attributed to him even before taking the exam, despite having been found during the distance lessons taught by the University teachers, an elementary knowledge of the Italian language ”, specify the authorities.

Respond to accusations
The place where Luis Suárez gave the test did not take long to defend himself against the accusations of the Police. According to the University for Foreigners of Perugia, there was no irregularity in the ‘Pistolero’ examination.

"In relation to the investigations in progress, the University for Foreigners of Perugia reaffirms the veracity and transparency of the procedures followed for the examination carried out by the soccer player Luis Suárez and trusts that this will come out clearly at the end of the ongoing verifications."
