Chasing 163 to win, Rayudu blasted six fours and three sixes in his blitering innings, while Faf du Plessis cracked 58 off 44 balls as CSK romped home with four balls to spare. Earlier, Mumbai Indians posted a challenging 162 for nine after Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl. The highlight of Mumbai's innings was Saurabh Tiwary's 42 off 31 balls and Quinton de Kock's 20-ball 33 at the top. For CSK, Lungi Ngidi (3/38) was the most successful bowler while Ravindra Jadeja (2/42) and Deepak Chahar (2/32) captured two wickets apiece and Sam Curran (1/28) and Piyush Chawla (4/21) picked one each. Faf and MS Dhoni should definitely take CSK across the line from here. CSK 158/5 18.2 overs: OUT! A terrific catch from James Pattinson ends Sam Curran's 6-ball 18 cameo. Jasprit Bumrah gets his first wicket of the match. MS Dhoni arrives at the crease with CSK needing another 10 runs from 10 balls. 17.5 overs: SIX! FOUR! Sam Curran is taking the game away from MI. He has scored 11 runs just 3 balls. A six and a four off Krunal Pandya and CSK are now inching closer to win. CSK 146/4 17.1 overs: OUT! Krunal Pandya fires one in straight and Ravindra Jadeja fails to read it completely. He is trapped in front and umpire raised his finger straightaway. No review taken as Jadeja walks back for 10. MI have pulling things back a bit with 2 quick wickets. Another surprise batting order change from CSK as Sam Curran arrives at the middle ahead of Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni. CSK 134/4 End of 17th over: A terrific over for Chennai Super Kings as Ravindra Jadeja and Faf du Plessis collect 13 runs from it. CSK now need another 29 runs in 18 balls. CSK 134/3 15.6 overs: OUT! A terrific catch from Rahul Chahar off his own bowling ends Ambati Rayudu's stay at the crease. Rayudu, once again goes for the big hit but mistimes. Chahar runs back and takes a good neat catch. Rayudu walks back after scoring a scintillating 71. Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted up the order as he comes in ahead of Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni. 15.2 overs: Dropped! Big miss from Krunal Pandya at point. Ambati Rayudu goes for the big reverse sweep. Tries to go over the in-field but fails to time the ball. A diving Krunal goes for the catch but fails to hold on. That shoul dhave been taken. Rayudu gets a lucky reperive. 14.3 overs: FOUR! Faf du Plessis now looking in complete control. He is brilliantly using the crease against MI bowlers. On this occasion, he gives himself room against Jasprit Bumrah and hits the ball through extra-cover region to collect four runs. CSK 110/2 End of 13th over: Another good over for CSK as Ambati Rayudu and Faf du Plessis collect 11 runs from it, including a six. Rahul Chahar has been pretty expensive. Has conceded 31 runs in his 3 overs so far. CSK 99/2 50 for Ambati Rayudu! Slams Jasprit Bumrah's delivery straight down the ground for a boundary and gets to his 19th fifty in the IPL. Rayudu is now looking very dangerous. Gets there in just 33 balls. Rayudu leading this run chase from the front. First 50 of IPL 2020. CSK 88/2 10.2 overs: SIX! A mammoth strike from Ambati Rayudu, this time off Krunal Pandya. Dances down the track and smacks him over the deep fence. Rayudu looking pretty solid at the moment against spinners. CSK 77/2 9.2 overs: FOUR! FOUR! Indiscipline from Mumbai Indians fielders costs them back-to-back boundaries. First it was Jasprit Bumrah at short fine leg then Trent Boult, in the deep fails to stop the ball before the boundary line. Rahul Chahar and skipper Rohit will not be happy with that. They are letting Ambati Rayudu and Faf du Plessis settle in. End of 8th over: After a terrific inside-out shot, Faf du Plessis finishes Rahul Chahar's over with a comfortable single. Rahul gives away 8 runs in his first over. CSK also crossed the 50-run mark in that over. CSK 51/2 End of 7th over: Seven runs from Krunal Pandya's first over. Skipper Rohit Sharma now mixing his bowling attack as he brings Rahul Chahar into the attack, replacing Jasprit Bumrah. CSK 43/2 End of 6th over: FOUR! SIX! Amabti Rayudu has taken apart Jasprit Bumrah on the last two balls of his first over. Collects four off the last ball which turned out to be a no ball. Then smacks him out of the park on the free hit. 14 runs from Bumrah's first over. Powerplay also comes to an end with that mosntrous strike. CSK 37/2 End of 5th over: A tight over from Trent Boult comes to an end. Just four runs from it. And we have the first bowling change from skipper Rohit Sharma as he brings Jasprit Bumrah into the attack. CSK 23/2 3.1 overs: FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries for CSK. Faf du Plessis collects the first one off the last ball of Trent Boult's over. Ambati Rayudu welcomes James Pattinson with a first-ball boundary at the other end. CSK 16/2 1.6 overs: OUT! James Pattinson strikes from the other end. Traps Murali Vijay right in front. That was the second time he hit Vijay on the pads and this time the umpire rules in his favour. Chennai in a bit of trouble right at the start of the run chase. They have now lost both their openers in the first 2 overs. Vijay falls for 1. CSK 6/2 0.5 overs: OUT! What a come back from Trent Boult. After getting hit for a boundary, rprevious ball, Boulyt gets to nip one back in and hits the inner pad of Shane Watson. Umpire rules him out straightaway.
