At Ford we have the firm belief that freedom of movement leads to human progress, or what is the same as evolution leads to innovation; and it is this pillar that has made us part of the new trends in mobility, such as the arrival of electric cars, hybrids and connectable hybrids, which are part of the electrification plan that the company has presented, whose objective is the development of 40 vehicles for its portfolio for the year 2022.

Against this background, for the signature of the blue oval, evolution is part of human progress and therefore, around the concept of innovation, two concepts emerge that mark the path towards developing a competitive advantage to go further: diversity and inclusion. We know that to evolve and innovate, the presence of collaborators with diverse perspectives, skills, and experience is necessary and it is in this sense that female talent has become a key element of this winning formula.

Deloitte, a firm specialized in corporate auditing and consulting, shared a study in 2018, the data of which reflected a minimal collaboration of women in the automotive sector. At Ford we seek to redirect that path, therefore a considerable percentage of our team is made up of women, who every day are part of the effort to continue positioning Mexico as a key country, which stands out for the quality and great capacity of its engineers , and it is thanks to that reputation gained throughout the history of Ford of Mexico that today models are being developed that will mark a milestone in automotive innovation, as well as engines and transmissions that supply all Ford around the world.

For this reason, at Ford we want to recognize all the collaborators in the country's plants that proudly, and very much like the Mexican, assemble vehicles, engines and transmissions on a daily basis. Through a series of videos, the talent of the women who participated in these initiatives of assembly of engines, transmissions and the first Mustang Mach-E made 100 percent by a representative group of the company's female force is shown.

Cuautitlan

For the first time since 1964, the year in which the plant was inaugurated by Henry Ford II and former president Adolfo López Mateos, a car is entirely assembled solely by women. And we are not talking about just any car, we are talking about the new Mustang Mach-E, the all-electric vehicle inspired by the pony car, which inherits an unmatched legacy and represents a milestone in the company's technological innovation to go further.

As part of the activities within the company and the plant, the vehicle was not only assembled by women, it was also intervened by the plastic artist, María Fernanda Ochoa, who relied on three key elements for the design embodied in the exterior of the vehicle electric, expressing feminine power and recognizing her daily effort in each stroke:

· The central image shows an Eagle Woman, inspired by the Eagle Knight, but who in turn interprets the importance of each woman in the Ford plant.

· The Warriors in Pink logo, which is Ford's organization fighting breast cancer, was also included in recognition of each of the warriors facing a battle against this disease.

· In addition, the sunflowers depicted in the trunk appear as a feminine flower that, at the same time, represents strength and stability.

Chihuahua

A total of 192 employees built the first engine in history made one hundred percent by women at the Chihuahua plant, taking into account that diversity and inclusion are the vital engines for our evolution.

During a ceremony, the engine was presented and signed by the collaborators who were involved in its manufacture.

The women of Chihuahua today know that they can achieve anything they set out to do, and the proof is that, not only within the plant, but throughout the company, there are women in all positions.

Irapuato

'Creating the future together'. Under this phrase, the collaborators of the Ford plant in Irapuato came together to put together the first transmission carried out 100% by women. The Irapuato plant seeks to motivate its feminine strength, showing them the importance and relevance that their work represents every day.

For the Irapuato women engineers, this work not only represents their work as women, at the same time they have managed to feel more connected with all the people that make up Ford, working for the entire team that seeks the success of the company on a daily basis.

Very soon our collaborators from the Hermosillo plant will not be left behind and will be surprising us with their "Mexican-style work."

Mexican talent has not stopped surprising locals and strangers, to the extent that Ford's engineering center in Mexico now has more than 2,000 employees, making it the largest engineering group in Mexico in the entire automotive industry.

At Ford, we seek to be a clear example of how the automotive industry has become increasingly inclusive over time. Currently, car design, engineering, as well as its conceptualization.

At Ford, we believe that the automotive industry goes further, it is part of human development and the search for a vision towards a better future for Mexico. Female talent is essential for our operation and the work of our Mexican collaborators is essential to continue on the right path.
