Renato Tapia is available to make his debut in LaLiga de España. The Peruvian was considered by coach Óscar García on the summoned list, regarding the clash this Saturday (9:00 a.m.) against Eibar, in Ipurúa.

The transfer of Uruguayan striker Gabriel 'Toro' Fernández to Real Zaragoza, from LaLiga SmartBank (Second), allowed Celta de Vigo to free up an extra-community place in its LaLiga Santander (First) squad, and took the opportunity to close the registration of Renato Tapia , signed this summer from the Dutch Feyenoord.

 

Renato Tapia, who has signed a contract until June 30, 2024, aims for ownership in Eibar (Basque Country), which will mean his debut in the first Spanish league with the blue club shirt.

The Peruvian national team midfielder will be the third Peruvian-born footballer to play for Celta in the First Division, after Juan Jayo Legario (14 league games, 3 in the Copa del Rey and 2 in UEFA in the 2000-019 season and José Guillermo 'Chemo' del Solar (29 League matches and 2 Cup matches in the 1996-97 academic year).

In addition to Renato Tapia, Óscar García's summons also includes the other reinforcements of the team, the winger Álvaro Vadillo and the attacker Miguel Baeza. Goalkeepers Sergio Álvarez and Rubén Blanco are out due to injury, while David Costas does not enter the list due to technical decision.
