The Minister of Health, Pilar Mazzetti, warned that in the next few days there will be an increase in COVID-19 cases in the country as further tests will be carried out to monitor the new outbreaks.

The holder of the portfolio indicated that the increase in tests is taking place within the framework of the Tayta operation, which to date has benefited 100,000 families.

 

"At times, the numbers of positives are going to go up and they have to go up, because we have to carry out targeted interventions, there may be a peak as a result of the Tayta operation or others that are carried out in the interior of the country, with 4,000 or 5,000 people sampled, "he said.

 

"That's the figures. We all want a downward trend and for that we have to take care of ourselves," he added. On the other hand, Mazzetti referred to the update of the numbers of deaths from COVID-19.

Thus, she indicated that the portfolio is taking the "most difficult figure" which is that of Sinadef and that "over time" it will be possible to determine the exact number of deaths as what happened in Belgium.
