HiTLeR Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 The veteran Chilean goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, signed a contract with Real Betis from Manchester City, the Andalusian club said Sunday evening. "Real Betis has reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Claudio Bravo," Betis said in a statement. The Chilean became the second player to boost the green and white club for the 2020-2021 season. Bravo signed a one-year contract with the possibility to extend it for an additional year. Bravo's contract of 37-year-old had come to an end with Manchester City, who is defending his den, Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson. Bravo will play at Betis under the supervision of fellow coach Manuel Pellegrini. And it will be Bravo's third trip to Spain, after working with Real Sociedad (2006-2014) and Barcelona (2014-2016). Bravo has a brilliant record, having won the Copa America twice (2015 and 2016), the League and Cup twice in Spain with Barcelona and the English League twice with City. Bravo, who played 123 international matches with the Chilean national team, joined Betis, who suffered greatly last season to avoid relegation to the second division, and conceded sixty times. Betis had announced his contract with former Barcelona back Martin Montoya from Brighton, England.
