In addition, the cases that have required hospitalization in the last 7 days totaled 1,514, in an upward progression throughout the month of August. In fact, the month of July ended with this indicator at 472 admissions in the previous week, which indicates that since then, the figure has tripled. Today, a total of 5,903 Covid-19 patients remain admitted to Spanish hospitals, 697 in the ICU. The last daily part prepared by the Alerts and Emergencies Coordination Center (Ccaes) indicates that 419,849 people have tested positive for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. A total of 412,553 people have been infected with coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. More than half are concentrated in the Community of Madrid (112,514) and Catalonia (104,084), followed by far behind Castilla y León (26,478), Andalusia (26,017), the Basque Country (25,955), Aragon (25,077) and Castilla -La Mancha (22.342). As for the cases diagnosed in the last 24 hours, they amount to 3,594. Madrid is the region with the most positives reported (1,513), ahead of Andalusia (370) and Aragon (316). These three regions concentrate more than 60% of the positives between yesterday and today. 129 deaths On the other hand, Health has counted 129 deaths from coronavirus in the last week, which brings the number of deaths from Covid-19 to 28,971. The Community of Madrid (57) has reported almost half of the fatalities, ahead of Andalusia (13). In total terms, Madrid (8,592), Catalonia (5,740) and Castilla-La Mancha (3,041) account for almost 60% of deaths from coronavirus. A total of 922 patients have been admitted to Spanish hospitals with coronavirus in the last 24 hours, a figure that exceeds the discharges (593). The Community of Madrid (289) leads the regional ranking of hospitalizations between yesterday and today, ahead of Catalonia (112). Both regions account for 43.5% of total hospital admissions between this Tuesday and Wednesday. Currently, 5.5% of hospital beds in Spain are occupied by Covid-19 patients, which are 5,903. Community of Madrid and Aragon stand out, where the infected occupy 13.6% and 13.1% of the beds, respectively. The incidence rate of the coronavirus in the last 14 days rises to 176.22 cases diagnosed per 100,000 inhabitants. Aragón (415.83), Madrid (386.72) and the Basque Country (293.37) stand out.
