League 1 returned this Tuesday with the dispute of the seventh day of the Apertura Tournament, whose table of positions moved again after five months of suspense due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Peruvian championship returned after the failed attempt ten days ago due to fan disorders. The resumption of the date, which barely completed the match to zero goals between Cantolao and Universitario, had as its first match Cienciano-Atlético Grau, which also ended 0-0.

In the subsequent programming commitment, Sporting Cristal thrashed Sport Boys 4-1 and climbed in the classification led by Alianza Universidad.

 

 

The only teams that did not face the day were Alianza Lima and Deportivo Binacional, who had to face each other in the National Stadium replicating the end of last season but remained pending due to cases of contagion of the new coronavirus in the ‘Poderoso del Sur‘.

League 1 returns in a difficult situation for the country, which ranks as the sixth in the world with the highest number of confirmed infections, and as the second in lethality in the world, only behind Belgium.

A complex situation that has led the Government to decide to return to mandatory Sunday confinement at the national level, and to a permanent one focused on six regions of the country and 36 provinces.
