A basketball game with an audience in which it is intended to guarantee that only 60% of the capacity of this municipal facility is occupied. The announcement of the celebration of a sports competition with the public in the stands occurs when the Basque Government is studying tightening the leisure control measures after confirming the multiplication of new infections that yesterday reached 569 positives. Euskadi will celebrate the first sporting event in a closed enclosure with the public next Sunday the 30th with the dispute of the 'Euskal Kopa'. A basketball game that will be held from 6:00 p.m. in Vitoria and which may be attended by a maximum of 500 people. The Basque Basketball Federation stands out by making public this friendly match that will be held "safely and without losing the excitement at the start of the season with the dispute of the first title at stake." TD Systems Baskonia and Retabet Bilbao - the only two Basques in the ACB last season - will compete in this annual event of the Basque basketball preseason. Spectators will have to pay a price of 15 euros per ticket and the game will also be broadcast on Basque regional television (ETB). Last year, Baskonia defeated the Bilbao team 66-55 in a match held at the Lasesarre sports center. The announcement of the confrontation takes place when the Basque Government studies new measures that increase the control of leisure before the rebound of positives in Euskadi with an impact also on the increase of admitted to hospitals. According to the data provided yesterday by the Health Department, there are already 144 people hospitalized for Covid-19 and, of them, 9 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
