HiTLeR Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Ukrainian Shakhtar Donetsk reached the semi-finals of the European Football League, beating Basel, 4-1, in the match between them at the Arena of Schalke in the German city of Gelsenkirchen. The victory carried a Brazilian flavor because the four goals were scored by four Brazilians, namely Marlos (2), Tyson (22), Alan Patrick (75 from a penalty kick) and Dudu (88), and Basel responded with an honorary goal to Dutchman Ricky Van Wolfswinkel (90 + 2). Shakhtar will meet in this role on the current 17th in Dusseldorf with Inter Milan, who overcame the German Bayer Leverkusen hurdle by beating him 2-1. It is the first time that Shakhtar has reached the semi-finals of this competition since the 2015-2016 season, when he fell against Sevilla. As for Basel, it was a Yemeni soul to reach the semi-finals for the first time since the 2012-2013 season. Both teams had surpassed Germany in the previous round, so Basel beat Eintracht Frankfurt at home 3-0 and then renewed their victory with a single goal at home, while Shakhtar followed suit by beating Wolfsburg 2-1 in Germany before winning it again by three goals. Note that all three goals were scored after the 89th minute. Shakhtar pressed from the start, and a corner kick was awarded to him by the Brazilian of Ukrainian descent, Marlos, and the Brazilian followed it, Junior Moraich, with his head, taking advantage of the wrong exit of Basel goalkeeper Djordje Nikolic after just a minute and 40 seconds. Basel quickly responded quickly via Cabral's header after a pass from the left side, but his ball passed to the side of the goal (4). But the preference remained for the Ukrainian team, which succeeded in adding the second goal after a coordinated attack in which the ball reached Marlos on the right side, passing it creepily, and Patrick let it pass between his legs in a deceptive technical movement towards his Brazilian colleague Tyson, who hit a ball from the outskirts of the region that hit the foot of a Basel defender and wandered inside His team nets (22). The goal is Tyson's first in this competition during the current season. Shakhtar almost scored the third goal, but Nikolic responded brilliantly to Murrayk's attempt (31). The Serbian goalkeeper intervened again, saving his goal with a powerful left-wing shot by Meralos (36). Basel improved at the start of the second half, but his attacks were timid and did not pose a real danger to Shakhtar's goal. Shakhtar decided the final result of the match when he scored his third goal from a penalty kick that Brazilian Alan Patrick set out after hindering Tyson in the region (75). Dodo concluded the festival of his team's goals with a powerful shot two minutes before the end of the match, and Basel responded with an honorary goal through Dutchman Ricky van Wolfswinkel in stoppage time.
