This Monday, the Argentine teams will return to training, therefore, the players arrived this weekend at the different sports venues to pass the rigorous tests. Ten cases have already been confirmed.

The harsh reality of sport in the Albiceleste country was not only caused by athletes, but also by journalists. Alejandro Fantino, a well-known television host, revealed that he was sick with COVID-19.

Through his Instagram account, Fantino revealed that at the moment he has mild symptoms and that he has been isolated at home since Friday, when he began to feel mild physical discomfort.

"I have to tell you that guy at two in the morning on Friday night gave me pain behind my neck and my throat just started to itch.", The journalist began.

"On Saturday morning I felt the same, a little body pain, I called my doctor, I swabbed, I automatically isolated myself and a little while ago I got the result: Covid positive."

 

 

“Here I am, I'm perfect, I'm fine, I don't have a fever, pain, or cough. It will be 14 days isolated, they throw my food under the door, no matter how much you take care of yourself, it can happen to you, "he described in a video on his Instagram account, where he told what happened," he concluded.

Argentine soccer took the first step in its return to the fields on Tuesday, receiving permission from the government to begin training on August 10, after almost five months of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The government of President Alberto Fernández approved on Tuesday the sanitary protocols for the resumption of practices and authorized in a staggered manner the training of the clubs of the Professional League of the first division and the First National (second).

In this context, on Monday, August 10, the first division teams, including Boca, River, Racing and Defensa y Justicia, will be able to start practicing in the Copa Libertadores, together with Tigre, the only promotion team participating in the continental tournament, while the rest will do so from September 2.
