[Sport] "Let them encourage us from home": the request of the League 1 teams to their followers

The teams of League 1 reaffirmed their commitment to work with the authorities in the return of football.
Union make force. The different clubs in League 1 shared a statement on social networks, in which they urged their followers to encourage them from home, as a protection measure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is worth saying that the competition was suspended, due to the disturbances generated by the fans of Universitario de Deportes, in the streets near the National Stadium, shortly after the start of the match against Academia Cantolao, which marked the return of League 1 after several months off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the document disseminated on social networks, the member teams of the Peruvian Football Federation also committed to work with the government entities and the FPF to guarantee the safety of all the participants of League 1, thinking about a hypothetical return.

1.- As professional soccer clubs we strive to comply with the "Protocol back to training and competitions of the Professional Soccer League of the Peruvian Soccer Federation" and the plans for the surveillance, prevention and control of COVID-19 in the work, based on the biosafety regulations established by the Peruvian Institute of Sports and the Ministry of Health.

 

2.- Such an effort implies investment of time and human capital in guaranteeing that our sporting activity is resumed without involving anyone in any risk and in order to offer our fans and the general public quality sporting events and at the same time participate in the economic reactivation of the country.

 

3.- Therefore, we will always support and emphatically reaffirm all the actions, provisions and preventive measures that are necessary to guarantee the safety of all Peruvians against the spread of COVID-19, even more so within the framework of the State of Sanitary Emergency decreed by the Government of our country.

 

4.- To that extent, we urge all Peruvian soccer fans and the general po[CENSORED]tion to comply with all the security parameters set forth by the authorities, which implies, but is not limited to, keeping due social distancing, doing use of a mask and other safety implements, avoid crowds, not attend events and respect the curfew. Compliance with these measures by all of us is a key element so that as a country we can overcome the serious health crisis we are going through and thus avoid further human loss.

 

5.- In the same way, we make ourselves available to actively participate in the awareness of our fans and the general public, promoting respect for order and authority, as well as the care and preservation of one's health and life. himself and others.

 

6.- Finally, and in the face of an eventual authorization to lift the suspension of League 1, we urge all fans and the general public to encourage us from home, thus avoiding putting their lives and health at risk as well as that of the other Peruvians.

 

7.- We reaffirm our commitment to return to competitions in a safe way, working together with the Central Government and the Peruvian Football Federation, under the premise of safeguarding the life and health of all Peruvians, to guarantee safety of our beloved sport in this difficult situation.
