The Confederation of African Football (CAF) returned, on Monday, its decision to hold the semi-finals of the Champions League competition under the rally system in Cameroon, after the meetings of its executive committee on June 30, to confirm the holding of the semi-final matches with the return leg that was originally approved.

The President of the Continental Union, Malagasy Ahmed Ahmed, announced after the last meetings of the Executive Committee at the end of June, the holding of the semi-final matches in the Cameroonian capital Yaounde, next September with the rally system.

However, the Gaboma Stadium, with a capacity of 60,000, is no longer able to host these matches due to the Corona pandemic.

Consequently, the African Union decided to hold the two semi-final matches between Al-Ahly and Al-Wadad Al-Casablanca of Morocco on the one hand, and the Egyptian Zamalek with Al-Raja Al-Casablanca of Morocco on 25 and 26 September in Egypt, and the return matches on 2 and 3 October in Morocco, according to a statement issued by it.
