[News]Madrid reports four new outbreaks, with 23 positive cases and 67 follow-up contacts

The General Directorate of Public Health of the Community of Madrid has notified this Friday to the Ministry of Health four new outbreaks with a total of 23 cases and 67 follow-up contacts, all of them associated with work and family, without any of them having needed hospitalization.

 

The first outbreak has been detected in the municipalities of Galapagar, Fuenlabrada and Cadalso de los Vidrios. There are 9 positive cases and 28 follow-up contacts, generated in family and work meetings.

 

                        

 

As reported by the Ministry of Health, the second outbreak has taken place in the municipalities of Madrid, Arroyomolinos and Móstoles, with 7 positive cases and 7 follow-up contacts that were detected after a celebration in the family environment.

 

A third outbreak has also taken place in Madrid, with 3 positive cases and 22 follow-up contacts, and was detected within the workplace and family.

 

Finally, a fourth outbreak has been detected in the municipality of San Martín de la Vega and has 4 positive cases and 10 follow-up contacts originating in the workplace and family.

With this, the Community of Madrid has already notified the Ministry of a total of 17 outbreaks in the region, especially in the workplace, family and in meetings in entertainment venues. In addition, the region has registered two new deaths from coronavirus in hospitals, one more than yesterday, and the new infections of Covid-19 continue to grow with 219 cases in the last 24 hours, 38 more than yesterday. In summary, in the last seven days Madrid has recorded a total of 1,573 positive cases, with the highest rate of infected on July 24, with 383.
