The Community of Madrid notified the Ministry of Health this Wednesday with a total of 28 cases and 84 contacts under follow-up, both associated with the family and social sphere.

 

The General Directorate of Public Health of the Community has transferred these new cases, in which one of the affected people has required hospital admission, although he is currently discharged.

 

The first outbreak has been detected in a cocktail bar in Madrid and has 13 cases and 42 contacts in follow-up; Of the 13 cases, eight are linked to those attending the birthday celebration and 5 are secondary among family and friends.

                          

 

The first known case resides in a local family / religious community, with 11 close contacts identified, and several cases go to the municipality's church, where twenty contacts have been identified.

It has been in this outbreak that a person has needed hospitalization but has already been discharged. With these two new cases reported, there are already thirteen outbreaks in the Community of Madrid.

 

The one that has added the most cases is that of the Fuenlabrada soccer team, which accounts for a total of 16 cases registered by Covid-19. Twelve of them are in the expedition that traveled to Coruña to face Deportivo in Riazor - a match that was never disputed - and the remaining four correspond to members of the Fuenlabrada who stayed in Madrid.

 

The first outbreak was reported on July 3, with five cases in a Madrid workplace.

 

On July 10, two new outbreaks were detected with eleven cases of coronavirus: one of them in a family environment with seven cases and distributed in three addresses in Madrid, and the other also in the city, in a company linked to a family environment. , with four cases.

 

On July 15, a new outbreak was reported with five confirmed positive cases that originates from a dinner held between eight people at a private address in Madrid on July 4. On Wednesday, July 22, three new outbreaks were reported, including the Fuenlabrada one. On Friday, July 24, two other outbreaks were announced with a total of 15 cases of contagion and 51 contacts in follow-up, in the two cases linked to leisure establishments.

 

Of the other two outbreaks, one of them - with seven cases and twenty-seven follow-up contacts - was detected in the towns of San Agustín de Guadalix and Ciempozuelos, at two friend parties; and the other was identified in Torrelaguna with five cases and thirty follow-up contacts that occurred during an excursion between family and friends.
