Mauricio Rua beat Antonio Nogueira for the third time on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

UFC Fight Island 3 presented a spectacular fight between two legendary fighters, Mauricio Rua and Antonio Nogueira, who ended a historic trilogy this Saturday on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

 

The first fight between the two occurred 15 years ago, in 2005, and was in charge of the well-remembered Japanese company Pride. The second time was in the UFC, in 2015; and tonight the faces met once more. Like the previous opportunities, ‘Shogun’ Rua was victorious against ‘Minotouro’ Nogueira.

Of course, the fight was well closed, both demonstrated all their experience in the octagon and took the fight on their feet and to the ground. In the end, Rua won by divided decision.
