[NEWS] Rocket attack on the Iraqi base where the Spanish troops are deployed

The attack has been confirmed to EL MUNDO from Baghdad by the spokesman of the international coalition against the Islamic State

 

 

A rocket attack hit the Iraqi military base in Besmayah, south of Baghdad, late Friday, where Spanish troops belonging to the international coalition against the self-styled Islamic State led by the United States are deployed.

"Four Katyusha rockets hit the interior of the Besmayah base on Friday afternoon," the media cell of the Iraqi security forces reported a few minutes ago. The attack has caused material damage, according to authorities.

The attack has been confirmed to EL MUNDO from Baghdad by the spokesman of the international coalition against the IS (Islamic State, for its acronym in English).
