The future car should officially debut in 2021, if all goes according to current plans.

Long awaited by the whole world, the next Mercedes S-Class will be available for sale, including in a one hundred percent electric version. Prefigured by the concept presented to the general public under the name of Vision EQS, the luxurious battery model promises to set new standards in terms of autonomy.

According to Daimler management, the car designed to compete against names such as Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S will be able to travel over 700 kilometers in a single full (WLTP) mode.

Unfortunately, the components of the propulsion system remain a great mystery in the case of the luxurious battery model, but the Mercedes Vision EQS concept enjoys two electric motors, one for each axle. With 350 kW on all four wheels, the sprint 0 - 100 km / h lasted only 4.5 seconds.

Another detail that is currently missing from the puzzle that will give birth to the car designed to compete against names such as Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S is the design of the four-door body.

The new Mercedes S-Class is no longer a secret to anyone, from an aesthetic point of view, but will the electric version look the same? The answer comes next year, when the luxurious battery model foreshadowed by the concept presented to the general public under the name of Vision EQS will officially debut.
