Scare in Atalanta. Luis Muriel caused concern in his team and in the Colombian town when he was hospitalized for a few hours in Bergamo, due to a home accident. According to the Italian media Corriere dello Sport, the athlete "would have suffered a head injury after an accidental fall from the edge of the pool."

 

Due to this, the Colombian Luis Muriel will miss Atalanta's clash on Tuesday against Brescia, for matchday 33 of Serie A. The information was given by the Italian club itself, through a statement.

"Atalanta reports that, after a domestic accident, the footballer Luis Muriel will not be available for the Atalanta-Brescia match on the thirty-third day of Serie A," the club's note read. "The footballer will be available for training on July 15," he adds.
The 29-year-old Santo Tomás forward is completely out of danger and will be able to work as of Wednesday under coach Giampiero Gasperini in view of the July 18 match against Hellas Verona.

 

To everyone's peace of mind, Luis Muriel shared a message on his Instagram account, hours after what happened. "I'm fine, I'm at home. Fortunately, nothing serious happened. Tonight I will be at the stadium to cheer Atalanta up, and tomorrow I will return to train with my teammates. Thank you for the love you have shown me in these hours, "he wrote.

Luis Muriel will be out on Tuesday in the Lombardy region derby against Brescia, in which the Colombian Duván Zapata, author of fifteen league goals, will be in charge of leading the lead.

 

Atalanta is one of the fittest teams in Europe and occupies fourth place in Serie A, just one point behind Inter Milan and Lazio, who share second place. Juventus leader is nine points.
