[Sport] Liga MX: This is the schedule for the Guard1anes 2020 tournament

Yoshimar Yotún, Anderson Santamaría, Alejandro Duarte, Pedro Aquino and Juan Reynoso already know the order of their rivals in the return of the Aztec Liga MX.

Everything is defined for the return of Liga MX after months of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Opening Tournament of the championship of the highest category of Aztec soccer, named Guard1anes 2020 in honor of the medical personnel who battle against the coronavirus, already has a calendar.

 

The first day of the contest will start on Thursday, July 23, when Atlético San Luis receives FC Juárez from Alejandro Duarte at the Alfonso Lastras stadium.

 

A day later, Tigres will visit Necaxa in Aguascalientes and Mazatlán FC will play their first official match against Puebla, a team led by Juan Reynoso.
The date will continue on Saturday with three confrontations: Chivas will host León de Pedro Aquino, Tijuana will meet Altas de Anderson Santamaría and Cruz Azul de Yoshimar Yotún will debut against Santos Laguna.

 

The Pumas of UNAM will receive the ‘Gallos Blancos’ from Querétaro on Sunday, before the duel between Monterrey and Toluca, while Pachuca and América will close the day at the Hidalgo stadium.

The Guard1anes 2020 tournament presents a new format. After the 17 days of the regular phase, there will be a final phase with 12 teams. The top four finishers will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while from 5th to 12th they will face a unique reclassification match.
The classic of the classics, between America and Chivas, will take place at the Azteca stadium on September 19, as a highlight of the eleventh date of the competition.

 

Chivas and Atlas, protagonists of the classic tapatío, will meet again on October 17, while Cruz Azul and América will dispute a new edition of the young classic on matchday 12, after the royal classic between Tigres and Monterrey.
