[EN] The newest car from Suzuki is just a rebranded Toyota The series of common elements is not limited to the outside The resemblance continues even inside and even under the hood Share on Facebook The series of obvious similarities is not limited to the exterior with five doors, but continues even inside and even under the hood, if you can believe it. Toyota and Suzuki laid the foundations of a broad partnership at the end of last summer, and one of the first cars resulting from that collaboration is the new Across. The new Suzuki Across or, if you want, the faithful copy of the Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid. The series of obvious similarities begins at the level of the body in five doors, where only a few differences - specific, in general, the front, separate the two Japanese SUVs. In the cabin, far from prying eyes, the Suzuki logo is the only element that separates the new Across from the Toyota RAV4. When it comes to common details, the nine-inch center display is just the beginning. As previously mentioned, the two Japanese cars also share the propulsion system with two electric motors, an 18.1 kWh battery, but also a 2.5-liter aspirated gas station. The maximum power of the new Across remains a mystery at the moment, but the RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid version can boast a total of 302 hp. That's right, Suzuki officials wanted to specify the autonomy in EV mode: 75 kilometers. The faithful copy of the Toyota SUV will go on sale, at least on the European market, starting with the autumn of this year, the sale prices completing the list of current unknowns.
