Lynk & Co, the manufacturer owned by the Chinese giant Geely (of which Volvo is part of its portfolio), has launched a new compact SUV on the local market. Its name is simple: 06.

Lynk & Co. continues the offensive on the Chinese SUV market with a new compact model. After crossovers 01 and 02, now is the time to get acquainted with 06, the smallest SUV of the manufacturer owned, like Volvo, by the Chinese giant Geely.

The new 03 measures 4,340 millimeters in length, 1,820 millimeters in width, 1,625 millimeters in height and the wheelbase measures 2,540 millimeters.

From an aesthetic point of view, the compact SUV takes over most of the design elements from its older siblings but comes with some details that give it a much younger look than these. The most visible are the orange accents on the grille, ceiling or rims.

The interior is worthy of a state-of-the-art model, with fully digital dashboard clocks, generous display for the infotainment system and buttons with futuristic shapes. The list of optional features includes a panoramic sunroof, rear parking sensors, fog lights, adaptive cruise control or a reversing camera.

Initially, customers will be able to order the new Lynk & Co 06 with a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that develops 177 hp and 265 Nm of torque. It will be joined by a seven-speed automatic transmission and double clutch.

Later, a plug-in hybrid propulsion system with 190 horsepower will appear in the range. It will consist of the same 1.5-liter turbo engine, a 60 kW electric unit and a battery pack.
