The GodFather Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Leasing can be an affordable, practical route into having your own private car, but it's not always easy to tell the good deals from the duds. The experts at our sister magazine What Car? work hard to find you the best pay-monthly schemes, taking into account mileage allowance, montly outlay, contract length and initial deposit. We'll be bringing you the best deals they find from a different segment each week. 1. Ford Mustang Fastback 5.0 V8 GT £3423 deposit, £573 per month, 48 months, 8000 miles per year So good that we used it as the basis of our proposed new £295k Bristol a while back, although whether anyone would pay that for a car with ’Stang underpinnings is open to debate. However, lease the real deal instead. 2. BMW 750i xDrive £5712 deposit, £952 per month, 48 months, 8000 miles per year So often forgotten next to those haute de gamme Mercs and whatnot, but the 7 Series has always been a bit of a diamond. The big BMW is not only comfortable and super-refined but it also handles really well and has a smooth V8 in this guise. 3. Jaguar F-Type P450 5.0 V8 R Auto Coupe £4927 deposit, £827 per month, 48 months, 8000 miles per year Thunderingly fast and eye-catching, an F-Type is an intoxicating proposition, even when it’s this dubious-looking facelifted version. That V8 can be heard in the next parish, and what a noise! Worth the monthly outlay for that alone. 4. Range Rover 5.0 V8 Autobiography £7469 deposit, £1245 per month, 48 months, 8000 miles per year A massive, high-riding SUV with a powerful 5.0-litre V8 under its bonnet sounds like a recipe for disaster, but the Rangie holds it all together, just about. Autobiography is the top spec and rather well equipped. 4
