Timo Werner is already a new Chelsea player. The German attacker played his last game at Red Bull Arena on Saturday after the 'blues' decided to buy it for 50 million euros. The board decided that it was a good time to give him a well-deserved recognition and so it was.

In his four seasons at the club, he scored 96 goals. He is the club's top historical scorer.
 

Striker Timo Werner's departure to Chelsea can be seen as a symptom of the current situation in the Bundesliga, with Bayern Munich, exercising hegemony stronger than ever without their main competitors being able to become a real threat.
 

Arriving at the beginning of the season, RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann declared that his goal was to be champion before the end of his first contract, three seasons, with the East German team.
 

The club leadership has set the same goal. And now he has to see how his best player leaves, second in the Bundesliga scorers ranking, without being able to do anything to retain him.
 

Werner's goodbye is not a surprise and has been taken for months. The question was his fate which was also unofficially known several weeks ago.
