After several days of uncertainty, Universitario de Deportes introduced Ángel Comizzo as the cream first team coach for the rest of the season. The club made its recruitment official through a statement published on its main social networks.

 

The statement also details the names of the professionals who will accompany Comizzo in the task of directing the cream team: Nelson Pumpido as technical assistant and Diego Ripacolli as physical trainer.

 

"The choice of the technical command was based on his knowledge of both the current squad and the Peruvian tournament, as well as the good performance shown, not only in 2012 - when we obtained our last national title - but also in the second half of the year 2019 - when we were in the second position of the Clausura Tournament and we managed to qualify for the Copa Libertadores 2020 ″, the document details.

 

 

Ángel Comizzo and his collaborators will arrive in Lima once the government authorities approve the trip from Buenos Aires. The club will initiate the negotiations immediately upon arrival in our capital, as will that of our players Luis Urruti, Federico alonso and Jonathan Dos Santos, who are in Uruguay, ”he continues.

 

“Once they arrive in Lima, and comply with the protocols established by the Ministry of Health, FPF and the Club, the members of the technical command will direct the training of the first team in person. Until then, they will plan and supervise the physical conditioning work, counting on them with the support of Professor Juan Pajuelo and his work team ”, he concludes.
