Tennis, like the whole country, is taking steps towards its return. The IBP Tennis Series, the national tennis circuit endorsed by the RFET, has already presented the calendar that it intends to develop in its third edition. The original plans were to hold a schedule of 100 tournaments starting April 2. The coronavirus and the state of alarm have forced to rethink everything, but it has been possible to organize a circuit of 47 tournaments, 46 plus the final Master, which will take place from July to October.

The calendar is not yet closed and some appointments can still be incorporated. The first week of competition will be on July 6 while the Master, in the C.T. Sibora de Tenerife, will start on October 25. In total, there will be 21 men's tournaments, nine women's and 17 with draws in both categories. Some weeks are double, with which players will be able to register for two tournaments, as some will be played from Monday to Thursday, and others from Friday to Sunday, subject to prior authorization from the RFET. This circuit, as is known, is based in the traditional tournaments of the clubs, large and small, which form the basis of tennis -some of them are even several decades old-, and by structuring and endowing themselves with a common ranking, they reinforce the concept of 'national tennis' as a sport of continuous competition, beyond recreational practice.

All tournaments have financial endowments, from 500 euros to 4,000 euros to the champion. A significant effort has also been made in hospitality, with 14 tournaments offering hospitality throughout the final draw and another 27 for the top 8 finishers. It is the norm of the circuit that all tournaments make solidarity donations to local NGOs or food banks. Among the invitations to the Final Master, this year the first tennis player without ATP points will participate in it (with a minimum of 2 tournaments played), instead of the best sub 21 of the Circuit.
