Dark Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) Cars have been one of the most replicated inventions in humanity. Whether to use them as public or private transport, without them we could not travel long distances in a short time and connect with those people who live a little further than us. However, being machines, they have a useful life until they can no longer serve. No matter what type of car is the one in the garage of your house, at some point and over the years it will become increasingly difficult to start until you can not give more. Even those who are car care freaks will sooner or later have to say goodbye to their loyal friend. However, not every time cars end up failing just because their useful life is up. Occasionally, car owners end up being the ultimate culprits for impaired transportation, especially because of poor driving habits or resting the car. What care should I have and what bad practices should I eliminate to take care of my car? As indicated by LaOpinion, here is a small list of what you should not do or stop having in order for your car to have a longer useful life. DRIVE WITH LITTLE FUEL Doing this until the last minute causes wear, overheating and blocking of critical parts of a vehicle. In addition, those who have this practice often run out of gasoline or even that the gas pump stops working at some point due to the effort. REST YOUR HAND ON THE SHIFT LEVER By resting your hand on the gear lever, regardless of whether it is a mechanical or automatic one, you risk damaging your transmission and causing premature wear of your gear selector, causing it to stop working sooner rather than later. REST THE FOOT ON THE PEDAL Many times we leave the foot resting on the pedal of the clutch. This can cause excessive wear and even shorten the life of the license plate, reducing the life of your car by wearing down this part that will eventually stop working. DO NOT DO REGULAR MAINTENANCE Many make this mistake out of laziness or tiredness, but failing to perform maintenance on time could cost the vehicle dearly. Auto maintenance is important, it prevents many failures and could prevent future accidents. Edited May 25, 2020 by Dr.Drako Closed Topic / Complete 24 hours. 3
