For some weeks now, there has been an air of tension between Deportivo Binacional and the first team players, due to the leaders' intention to make a reduction in salaries that was described by many as excessive and exaggerated. However, the bomb exploded this morning when, through social networks, the club reported that it was decided to apply the perfect suspension to soccer players who win more than 2000 soles.

 

In an interview with Depor, Reimond Manco gave details of the Binational proposals regarding the reduction of salaries and assured that the club was trying to negotiate with only 50% of the total and omit the other half of the remuneration, which was destined to ' food and housing ', according to the contract they signed at the beginning of the season.

 

 

"The contract of 98% of the players is broken down, that is to say that the payment is divided into two, 50% of remuneration and the other 50% for food and housing, so that they avoid paying taxes, but in general they add up to a only salary. Now they want to ignore the food and housing part and they are only negotiating with the remunerative salary, "said the footballer.

“We have always wanted to negotiate the total because the salary is everything. If we accepted that at the beginning it was to help the club with the tax issue, but now they want to ignore it, ”he continued.

 

In the same conversation, Manco expressed his discomfort with the decision made by the club and assured that the players were in favor of dialogue throughout the process.

"I am surprised because there are 8 teams that are paying their players in full, the others are negotiating and trying to reach an agreement and the Peruvian soccer champion does this. It is clear that they want to turn this measure around to harm us, They want to take advantage of this, "he said.

“The players have not refused to negotiate, we wanted to help as we did when we accepted to be sent on a compulsory holiday, but this has me completely puzzled. It seems unfair and bad on the part of the leadership, perhaps I can live with the savings I have, but there are others who live from day to day, "he continued.

 

Finally, Reimond Manco assured that the perfect suspension in Binational is a case that must be reviewed by the relevant authorities. "The Union has to be pronounced and also the Ministry of Labor because to send a perfect suspension certain rules have to be met and I don't know if Binational complies with them. They have to prove that they have no money to pay us, "he emphasized.
