Matt Brown, a member of the UFC for nearly 12 years and owner of the record for the most number of knockout wins in welterweight history, was defeated by Miguel Baeza on Saturday at Florida's UFC Fight Night.

In one corner was the legend Matt Brown, 39 years old and with more than 30 fights under his belt; and in the other, Miguel Baeza, 27 years old and undefeated 9-0. The victory went to the least veteran, the po[CENSORED]r ‘Caramel Thunder’, who prevailed in the second round with a notable knockout.

Although Baeza was the favorite, Matt Brown did not make it easy for him and used his experience to complicate the fight. In the first round, both had their moment, but in the second part, everything changed due to a blow from the young fighter.

When Brown tried to put his hands in, Miguel Baeza responded with a left hand to the jaw. The blow was square and sent the welterweight legend straight to the ground.

"I came up with a strategy, but I saw his face and said, 'Let's fight.' It's a legend, being with him did hurt me, but I had to get up and keep fighting, "said Baeza, who added his third victory in the UFC.

Still shocked by the death of his stepdaughter less than a year ago, Walt Harris will face Alistair Overeem in a promising UFC Fight Night 172 heavyweight bout. Jacksonville, Florida.
