Software development has undergone a major transformation in recent years. Guillermo Montoya, CEO of DEISER, a Spanish company that is an expert in collaboration products and tools and software development, affirms that the key to this evolution lies in the development life cycle tools that automate all mechanical and repetitive tasks, preventing them from produce errors that were previously common. Automating these tasks allows developers to spend more time on tasks that add value.

What has been your strategy?
Our strategy has been to adapt to changes and transform ourselves. The biggest change for our company was the commitment to Atlassian and obtaining Platinum Partner accreditation in 2011. This decision changed our company and introduced us to the Agile world and the use of collaboration tools (those of Atlassian: Jira, Confluence , Bitbucket) for group work. We help our clients to implement and make the most of these tools, but we are also their first users. We use them internally and adapt our company to that philosophy and way of working and collaborating.

Looking ahead to 2020, on the one hand, we have strengthened the DEISER Apps area and we are going to launch several "releases" of Profields for Jira, which we are targeting to the world of Jira project monitoring. We have made some internal changes, precisely to reinforce that strategy. Furthermore, and always talking about Profields, we have created a specific team to launch a renewed edition of our Cloud version of our App this year.

In the Services and Licensing Atlassian areas we are trying to consolidate the 2019 results, which were very good, also reinforcing the Madrid and Barcelona teams. We do not want to grow indiscriminately but we will probably try to incorporate 4-5 more people throughout the year to consolidate the strategy called DEISER 3.0 that we started in early 2019.

The objective is to try to reach for the first time in our history the 10 million euros of turnover, without that means multiplying the size of the company proportionally. The scalability of our offer will be the fundamental objective during this 2020 and, in all probability, the next 3-4 years.
