Dark Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Sky, the main broadcaster of the Bundesliga in Germany, announced on Thursday that it will offer on a free network the 'multiplex' (several games at the same time) on Saturdays 16 and 23, after the government gave the go-ahead to resume the competition, behind closed doors, after nine weeks. The 26th matchday, the first after the break, will have five games on Saturday the 16th, including the stellar duel between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke, the famous Ruhr derby. They will be offered through the Sky News continuous information chain, accessible without subscription. The four other games of the date; Saturday, Sunday and Monday, they will only be accessible through the Sky payment chains. The leader Bayern Munich, who has a four point advantage over Borussia Dortmund, will visit the promoted Union Berlin on Sunday (11:00 am in Peru). The following week five games will also be offered for free on Saturday at the same time. Sky was under pressure from the public authorities to offer games for free and avoid as much as possible the crowds of fans in front of the screens, thus limiting the risks of the spread of the coronavirus. 2
