The GodFather Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Fresh off a facelift for 2020, the Audi A4 and A5 lineups will benefit from a few more upgrades for 2021. In addition to more power for both the low- and high-output versions of the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engines, the A4's sedan and Allroad and the A5's Sportback, coupe, and cabriolet body styles get a 12-volt hybrid system and some revised equipment packages. The A4 sedan's base model was previously the front-wheel-drive 40 with 188 horsepower; this model now has standard Quattro all-wheel drive and 13 additional horsepower, for a total of 201 hp. The higher-powered 45 model also gets a power bump, to 261 horsepower. The A4 40 models get a price hike to go with this and now start at $40,095, while the 45 retains its base price of $41,895. The A5s also get the same power boost, and the A5 Sportback adds a new base 40 model with the same 201-hp engine as the A4 40. This new model drops the price of the Sportback by $2200 compared to the existing 45 model, bringing its base price—$42,795—closer to the A4 sedan's. The A5 Sportback 40 has the same 201-hp engine and standard Quattro all-wheel drive as the A4 40. Apple CarPlay is now standard across the board, the Premium Plus trim level now includes standard adaptive cruise control and other driver-assistance features, and the Prestige trim now includes standard heated rear seats. 2
