Cristiano Ronaldo must return to Turin after visiting his mother in his native Madeira while the suspension of Italian soccer was resolved, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Almost two months later, Juventus contacted the Portuguese star to request his return to Italy.

The ‘country of the boot’ was one of the most affected by the disease but little by little it returns to normal. The numbers are encouraging, that is why the main authorities are already beginning to think about reviving some activities, including soccer.

Cristiano was expected to get on his aircraft this weekend and return to Turin to meet up with his Juventus teammates; however, this is not going to be possible.

According to the Portuguese television channel TVI, the attacker's private jet, a Gulfstream G650 valued at 30 million euros, is based in Madrid, and the Spanish travel restrictions do not allow the plane to take off.

The plan was to pick up Ronaldo from the Atlantic island and then travel directly to Italy, where the player would rejoin training with Juventus.

According to the report, the plane attempted to take off three times but was blocked, leaving "CR7" potentially stranded on the island.

He never stopped thinking about Juventus

According to 'Tuttosport', Cristiano Ronaldo organized the trip to return on his private plane, but, since it was his own means of transportation, he could still back down on his decision.

The Italian media explains that Cristiano has not stopped thinking about Juventus at any time. He accepted the salary reduction proposed by Giorgio Chiellini and made several donations against Covid-19 in his country.

The training for the attacker did not stop at any time. He trained in his private gym and even rented the Madeira National Stadium to step on the grass.

"In addition to shooting and working on the technique, Cristiano shot at goal with a real goalkeeper, Filipe, from the U19 team," Rui Alves, president of the Portuguese team, told ‘Tuttoposport’.
