Tacna in emergency: 3 dead and 2 seriously injured reported by huaicos [VIDEO]

The Ministry of Health reported that the number of deaths by the huaicos in Tacna increased to 3. They were identified as Marlit Pizango Ushinahua (57), Álvaro Huaylla Maquera (21) and Raúl Renán Huaylla Ortega (48).

Two people were seriously injured by the natural disaster; They are being treated at the Unanue Hospital. Other more than 20 people presented minor blows, so they were transferred to different health centers.

Pizango was rescued from the disaster, but when he arrived at the health center, he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Jorge Montenegro, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, said the Tacna land terminal and other areas were damaged by flooding. "We want to ask for tranquility from all the citizens of Tacna, we are going to support as much as possible," Montenegro said.

The Ministry of Housing and Transportation will provide machinery to reduce the effects of the huaico, according to the owner of Minagri.
