Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro rejected on Wednesday the threats made by his American pair, Donald Trump, against Venezuela and said that the objective of the White House tenant is to go to the US. "towards a high level conflict" against the South American country.

"I proposed dialogue, wanting dialogue is not a sign of weakness, but Trump is leading the US towards a high-level conflict against Venezuela. I call the honest sectors of the US to face their interventionist, illegal and immoral, "Maduro said, during a meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized Venezuelan industry.

Likewise, the Head of State rejected the support that Trump has given the opposition deputy Juan Guaidó to boost his self-proclamation as a supposed "interim president."

"In Venezuela the president does not designate the United States, the people in po[CENSORED]r mandate elect him. Enough of your extremist obsession, Trump!" He exclaimed about it, after remembering that this year the legislative elections will be held in the South American country .

"We will have legislative elections for the National Assembly (AN), Mr. Donald Trump, and the fighter [Guaidó] that you have tried to impose on Venezuela will be left without a job," said the president, who predicted a victory of Chavism in those elections.

"That will also be your failure, Mr. Donald. Your advisors are leading you to failure by putting that puppet to the side ... They filled you with defeat, lies and mani[CENSORED]tion," the Venezuelan president added.

Last Tuesday, during his speech by the State of the Union to the US Congress, Trump promised to "crush the tyranny of Maduro" and introduced Guaido, who was present at that act, as "the true and legitimate president of Venezuela."

These expressions and actions were cataloged by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, through a statement, as "an agonizing effort to revive the already failed strategy of government change by force, attached to a prefabricated script, in the middle of a circus electoral show" , since presidential elections will be held in the US in November this year.
