A new case of the coronavirus 2019-nCoV has been detected in the US, AP reports with reference to the Centers for Disease Control. (CDC). Thus, the total number of confirmed patients already reaches nine.

As detailed, it is a woman from Santa Clara County, in California, who had recently returned from Wuhan. He is the second person infected with the virus in that county, although it is believed that the two cases are not related to each other.

Minutes earlier, the Department of Homeland Security prohibited the entry into its territory of foreigners who have been in the Asian country in the last two weeks. US citizens arriving from China will be sent free to one of the seven airports where the Government has implemented "improved detection procedures" of the infection.

Donald Trump supported the new restrictions. "We cannot allow thousands of people with this problem to enter [the US]," the president said in an interview with Fox.
