Petrochemist defeats CSKA after a tough battle in Sofia

Petrochemist defeated CSKA as a guest 3: 2 (25:21, 21:25, 25:20, 20:25, 15:13) in a 12th round match of the Super League volleyball. The duel is played tonight at the Vasil Simov Hall in Sofia.

The two teams offered a great battle, many emotions and twists. The visitors led twice in the result, CSKA evened, but in the end the champions were more stable. The Reds deserve congratulations on their play, which in no way indicates the plight that the club has fallen into.

In the first game, the Petrochemist drew three points for 8-5 after ace of Denis Karyagin. The guests managed to keep the difference until the end of the part and led. Although they made a lot of mistakes from the initial blow, Burgas managed to make it difficult to meet CSKA.

In the second part the hosts pressed for service, Vladimir Stankov and Dimitar Dimitrov made three and two aces respectively, the blockade of the Reds also worked and CSKA leveled.

The third game offered a lot of emotions. CSKA led by 7: 3, but Burgas equalized and pulled by 11: 9. In a series of initial strike by Peter Hristov, the guests were led by 19:13, which was enough and Neftekhimik again came forward in the result.

The fourth part was highly contested. At the end CSKA had strong moments, led by 20:17 after ace of Stankov, held the advance and reached a tiebreaker.

In it, the Petrochemist started better with a 3-0 lead in Dobromir Dimitrov's service. Both teams switched fields at 8: 4 for the guests. CSKA leveled at 10:10. The petrochemist reached two games at 2:12 pm and the second ended the match.

For the Petrochemist does not play Jeanie Zhelyazkov, who received a training injury before the match with CSKA.

Georgi Petrov, who was selected as a player of the match, scores 22 points (1 block) for the win. Nikolay Nikolov added 18 points (1 ace, 5 blocks). Peter Hristov (2 aces, 1 block) and Denis Karyagin (1 ace, 2 blocks) finished with 14 points for the guests.

For CSKA Dimitar Dimitrov scored 22 points (2 aces, 3 blocks). Martin Pavlov (2 aces, 1 block) and Hristo Tsvetanov (2 blocks) each added 15 points.
