Reinier Jesús signs for Real Madrid until 2026

Madrid signs Reinier in exchange for 30 million euros. It comes from Flamengo and signs for the remainder of the season and six more, until June 2026. The total amount of the operation is divided into three parts: 80% for Flamengo, 10% for the player's representative and a 10% for the young midfielder himself.

Reinier will not immediately join Real Madrid as he meets the U23 Brazil team playing the South American Pre-Olympic Tournament. The Canarinha debuted this Sunday morning with a victory over Peru and if it reaches the final it will continue in Colombia until next February 9. After the championship, Reinier will land in Madrid to, initially, train daily with the first team under Zidane and play on weekends with Castilla de Raúl.

He can play in several areas of the field, from the role of midfielder to that of striker, although the midfielder is his favorite position. He is a footballer with good ball control and daring for goal.

 

Reinier signs for Madrid after his express ascent in Flamengo, with which he won the last Copa Libertadores last November 23. Reinier went through the lower categories of Vasco da Gama, Botafogo and Fluminense before arriving at Flamengo in 2017.

In August 2019 he debuted with the first team against Emelec in the Copa Libertadores with just 18 years. A few days later it would be released in the Brazilian Serie A against Club Bahía. His first goal was scored on September 18 against Avaí. His balance this course has been 727 minutes spread over 15 minutes, scoring six goals and distributing an assist.

Market strategy

Madrid had already followed Reinier since he was proclaimed champion of the U17 Brazilian Cup in 2018, but his rise in record time in the first team of Flamengo caught the attention of many European teams.

This is the case of Manchester City, PSG or Barcelona. Even Atlético de Madrid tried to sign him last summer, but he ended up closing the doors after signing Joao Felix. Reinier's priority was always to sign for Madrid and now he fulfills his dream.
