King_of_lion Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Connor Ronan has had an interesting journey. Signing for Wolves as a youth prospect back in 2014, he has yet to make a first team breakthrough at the club. He spent time on loan at both Portsmouth and Walsall before making the rather unconventional decision to move to Slovakia on a temporary switch. The move was such a success that he decided to return for a second loan spell this season, but he has now returned to English football. Ronan has signed for Blackpool, joining the League One club until the end of the season. Blackpool FC ✔ @BlackpoolFC ? Speaking to the Blackpool website, Ronan told fans what they can expect to see from him in the coming months: I like to get on the ball and try and make things happen. I’ll take risks in the opposite half, try and get a few assists and chip in with a few goals. All in all, I just want to help the team wherever I can and try and help the team get back to where it belongs. The player has performed well for the Ireland U21s under Stephen Kenny, making some vital contributions in what has been a successful campaign up to this point. He is the type of midfielder that Ireland often lack, willing to get on the ball and make things happen. If all goes to plan he could be an important player in the coming years. We will certainly be keeping a close eye on his development at Blackpool.
