[MC]Ronin[MC] Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Joshua relinquishes one of his titles World heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua (UK) said he was ready to relinquish one of his titles as needed. Joshua, 30, regained the championship belts of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF) in early December after winning points over Mexican Andy Ruiz. "I have always said that it is not the championship belts that make me who I am. I remain a champion, even if I have to vacate one of my belts. This will allow me to meet other champions. I have already defeated four of the world champions. "If I had to give up one of my belts, it would be even more interesting. I'll do it if I have to. But then I'll get it back," Joshua commented. By the summer of this year, the British must make mandatory defenses of their world titles in the IBF and WBO versions, whose contenders are respectively Kubrat Pulev (Bulgaria) and Alexander Usik (Ukraine). However, it is possible, if no further agreement is reached with the federations, that Joshua will vacate one of the titles, as there is not enough time to organize two games.
