The Reds had a 1-0 lead after extra time, with Roberto Firmino scoring the only goal in the Qatar meeting. Thus, Liverpool became the first English club in history to win all three international club club trophies in the same calendar year. Liverpool won the Champions League in June, and the Reds grabbed the European Super Cup in the beginning of the season. Last night, Jurgen Klop's team won the only missing title in the Merseyside showcase, namely the World Club Championship. Jurgen Klop became the first German specialist to win the trophy in question.
