Model 3 annual sales in the United States are more than the total sales of the entire seven Bavarian models.

Comparing Tesla Model 3 sales to some other models always brings some pretty surprising results and is locked in the po[CENSORED]rity of the most talked about electric vehicle on the market.

This is also the case. Tesla's smallest and most massive electric model is of enormous interest, outpacing sales of more than one or two ICE models on brands with more than 100 years of history.

According to data from Cleantechnica (Tesla does not publish information on its monthly sales), between January and November, 127,836 Model 3s were sold in the US, making it the ninth best-selling model for the first eleven months of the year. In this regard, it is interesting to note that the Model 3 is the second best-selling American model (after the Ford Fusion) at all for the period in question, with the first six places having two Toyota models, two for Honda and two for Nissan.

Even more impressive is the performance of the Model 3 when compared to the BMW 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 8 series deliveries: all of these seven Bavarian models were sold at 116,073 units (according to BMW data) for the period until the end of November.

In the small and mid-size class, the Model 3 outperforms the Lexus ES (46 311), the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (45 739), the BMW 3 Series (42 582) and the Mercedes E / CLS-Class (36 770).

The high po[CENSORED]rity of the Model 3 is due to a combination of class-leading dynamic parameters, low operating costs and high technology. Despite the assumption that a strong start to sales will follow a lull, Model 3 continues to enjoy very strong demand.

Comparisons to BMW sales show how strong Tesla's impact is on the entire automotive industry. While demand for SUVs and crossovers continues to grow, Tesla continues to be the only brand of electric vehicle available to US customers. Against this background, BMW sales in the United States fell by 14.4% compared to the same period in 2018.

Tesla expects to sell between 360,000 and 400,000 vehicles by the end of the year, aided by the fact that the brand is already available in many markets around the world, including China, where domestic production began.
