Caracas denounces a terrorist plan of opponents seeking a "bloodbath"

The Government of Nicolás Maduro affirms that the subversive plan was dismantled.

 

The Venezuelan Minister of Communication, Jorge Rodríguez, has declared that the followers of the opponent Juan Guaidó had planned for this Sunday to take with arms several military units and cause a bloodbath in the country.

The opponent Leopoldo López also appears in the structure of the terrorist cell presented by Rodríguez. The Minister of Communication has affirmed that with these actions the ultra-right aimed to create a climate of destabilization and present a false image of Venezuela to the world, but has assured that the subversive plan was dismantled.

As he explained, the intention was to take headquarters Mariscal Sucre and a zonal command of the Bolivarian National Guard, both in the state of Sucre, "to generate a bloodbath."

The plan envisaged the involvement of state police in Sucre and would be implemented with "rifles that were to be provided by two deputy deputies of the Voluntad Po[CENSORED]r terrorist group [party of Leopoldo López and Juan Guaidó]," Rodríguez said.

The headline has announced the search and capture operation of several people related to the case, including right-wing politicians Yanet Fermín and Fernando Orozco, among the main leaders of the plan.
