Within its limits, the system monitors the road marking by means of a camera. As soon as the possibility of accidentally leaving the lane outline is registered, Lane Assist alerts the driver and, if necessary, triggers a corrective impulse in the steering gear. This makes driving much safer - especially on long crossings or on uniform road sections.
