[MC]Ronin[MC]
Climate change is believed to be the main cause Victoria Falls, one of the most impressive in the world, has dried up due to the drought that plagues South Africa. It is located between Zambia and Zimbabwe and is currently almost completely dry as water has fallen by half and reached its lowest level in 40 years Climate change is considered the main culprit for the serious consequences. Zimbabwe's president, Edgar Lungu, has called on Western countries to take environmental issues more seriously. According to him, global warming is caused by the following factors: "They (climate change) are a serious problem, a real problem. It is surprising that people downplay it and say 'climate change is not real.' According to the local tourism agency, the existence of the waterfall is not endangered and it downplayed people's worries. "It is normal at this time of year to keep the waters low, but the waterfall will not dry out while we are alive. The water is not as many as in previous years, but the waterfall has not dried up," a representative said. The height of the waterfall reaches 100 meters and it causes thousands of tourists to visit the area. Unfortunately, drought not only creates problems for the economy but is also detrimental to wildlife in the surrounding national parks. Shocking pictures of Victoria before and after the drought show what a crisis nature is in the area. Lush greenery has given way to brown grass, and the Zambezi River is now littered with rocks.
