[MC]Ronin[MC] Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Liverpool draw 11 points with City after a new drama by Anfield The Liverpool team already has an 11 point lead over Manchester City in the title fight in England. The Reds took advantage of the wrong step of the "citizens" earlier today, who made it 2-2 with Newcastle United. Liverpool had a 2-1 draw at Anfield, but the success did not come without another Merseyside drama. The Reds were about to waste an advance of two clean goals after being left with less ground in the second half after Alison Becker's naive red card a quarter hour before the end. Virgil van Dyke made two hits for Merseyside after assists by Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Lewis Bright was accurate for the guests from Brighton. Following yet another win for Jurgen Klop's graduates, Liverpool already have a 40-point asset, while the City's chaser is 29 points. The Anfield meeting started with the expected home-style way. Jurgen Klop players took matters into their own hands and dictated the pace of the pitch during the first minutes, although the visitors tried to counter-attack. The persistent play of the Reds resulted in the 18th minute, when the hosts managed to take the lead. Following a mistake in bringing the ball to Brighton, the Merseyside seized the ball and organized a counterattack in which Oxlade-Chamberlain was fouled in front of the Gulls' penalty box. Behind the ball was Alexander-Arnol, who centered on Virgil van Dyke's head, and the Dutchman easily passed the visitors' keeper 1-0. Stunned by the hit, manager Graham Potter's players continued to make elementary mistakes, especially in static situations. This was even better in the 24th minute when, after a new combination between Alexander-Arnold and Van Dyke, the result was increased to 2: 0. The right back centers from a corner, and in the penalty area the central defender, again with his head, hits the target. Only in the 37th minute came the first real chance of a goal for Brighton. After a collective mistake in the Liverpool defense that was waiting for an ambush, the ball was centered on the left flank by Lewis Dunk, who tried to shoot without delay but made it too sloppy and didn't even hit Alison Becker's door. Two minutes later, Brighton's players showed their teeth again, this time after an attack from the right. However, the centering outside Becker's door was not detected by the seagulls player and Arnold cleared. In the last minute of the first part Liverpool organized an excellent attack which ended with a shot by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was saved by the visitors' guard. At the beginning of the second part, guest captain Lewis Dunk missed an excellent opportunity to reduce the liabilities of his team. After being centered by a cornerback, the center guard wrestles the ball and shoots his head, but the leather ball passes inches from the left side pole. However, nothing suggested the drama that came later and was created by the hosts. The main credit for her was goalkeeper Alison Becker, who in the 76th minute made a naive red card after stopping the Brighton attack with his hand outside the penalty area. It was from the foul that guests were able to take advantage. Captain Lewis Dunk fired in surprise as Adrian Reserve was still building the wall in front of him. The center-guard fired resourcefully in the bottom right corner while Adrian was in the opposite side of the door. Martin Atkinson had signaled for a free kick despite claims by Liverpool players. In the closing minutes of the match, Brighton's players pushed their opponent into his half, but Jurgen Klop's players still managed to squeeze their fragile lead for the ultimate 2-1 victory.
