kawasaki ZZR 1400 goodbye
Born in 2006, the ZZR 1400 was the fastest series motorcycle ever manufactured to date. With it and in the oval of Idiada (Tarragona), we timed it at 311 km / h. It had an engine of 1,352 c.c. and 190 hp.

The ZZR 1400 was not only very fast: it was a comfortable motorcycle, capable of carrying two occupants comfortably and even prepared to carry suitcases, but with a sporting behavior not negligible for a motorcycle of its size and weight.

In 2012 came a new version with 1,440 cc engine, power modes, traction control and ABS, which in our Tecner power bank threw the impressive figure of 215 real CVs (without the Ram Air) and in which this journalist was timed at 321 km / h in the speed ring of Nardo (Italy) during his presentation, easily achieved and well protected after his well studied fairing, with the feeling that it could run much more with a longer development.

Undoubtedly, the best of the impressive Kawa was no longer just its high power, but the way to deliver it, pushing from very few turns in any gear, even in 6th, almost unctuous way. That, and a bomb-proof stability, even at 321 km / h. We attest to that.

However, Kawasaki has announced that in 2021 the ZZR 1400 will stop producing. In 2020 it will still be possible to acquire it, due to the Euro4 concession year. The H2 and H2 SX cover the ZZR gap and will comply with the Euro5 regulations of 2020.

Until forever, ZZR 1400.
