Dark Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Real Madrid is still sweet in Euroleague after beating Russian Khimki and still unbeaten at home. Perfect and choral match of a Madrid without negatives that sought the historical record of points in the competition. Khimki's defense shone by his absence and Laso's did not let his prey escape. He squeezed the Khimki throttle from his killer's hand. Shved pulled gallons and managed the Russian attacks perfectly until Randolph and Campazzo again extended distances. The American, who finished with 13 points the first period, infected the 'Facu', also outstanding in the assists, so that Madrid left with six points of advantage at the end of the first quarter (31-25). Record Road If the initial ten minutes were an offensive festival, the start of the second act improved the experience. The nightmare lived in Bilbao from the perimeter meant that today, by simple logic, Madrid would improve its percentages, but not only was it going to increase them but it was going to expose them to an excellent level. 8/11 in triples for the white team after 15 minutes of the game served as a foundation for the offensive show of Laso. Upon the good performance of the meringues, an outstanding defensive deployment joined by Llull and Mickey to metaphorically destroy a Khimki that frayed for seconds. The white fans enjoyed and smiled in equal parts with the mattes of Jordan Mickey (11 points of the center in this room) and the triples of a white box that was displaying the best basketball of the season. I didn't have any meringue set but it wasn't necessary to look for it. 65-42 to the break and Madrid way to overcome the record of points scored in a Euroleague match that, until then, had Panathinaikos with 127 points in 2007 against Chorale Roanne. Madrid was leaving the locker room tunnel soon to make the pertinent entrance wheel. Just a minute later, Anthony Gill stepped on the floor, which seemed to say, 'These guys don't get tired of scoring.' And, Madrid had closed the first half with 60% in two shots and 69% in three shots and had no intention of slowing down after the break. Showtime to the end Partial 16-2 to start and Tavares showing teeth with 10 points in just five minutes. The white team continued to tread thoroughly on both sides of the track, aware that they could still maintain the excellent scoring level of the first quarters. Kurtinaitis, who did not uncross his arms since the 5th minute, gave the youngest and less usual minutes by delivering a spoon that Madrid had already taken away before his time. Laso sat then at Tavares and Campazzo so that, in addition to receiving a well-deserved ovation, Laprovittola and Thompkins enjoyed minutes. With 92-56 shining in the light, Madrid was 30 points away from spraying the Panathinaikos record and had ten minutes to get it. 1
