Dark Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 The Supreme Court of Preparatory Investigation admitted to processing the request to suspend in a preventive manner the position of Supreme Prosecutor Pedro Chávarry in the investigation for the alleged crime of real cover-up. "This judiciary provides: to transfer to the defendant's technical defense for a period of three days, to express the arguments he deems appropriate," said Judge Hugo Núñez Julca in his resolution. On the eve, it was announced that the Public Prosecutor's Office requested 18 months of suspension of rights against the former national prosecutor, Pedro Chávarry. The measure was raised by Supreme Prosecutor Bersabeth Revilla Corrales, who considered that Chávarry Vallejos tried to thwart the investigation actions of the prosecutors of the Special Team of the Lava Jato case. He also questioned that the current supreme prosecutor has tried to request information about an agreement even though he did not have to do so. He added that this information "was intended to be used in favor of a political group." 1
