[MC]Ronin[MC]
DIRTY AIR: A bar in Delhi offers ... pure oxygen The cost per session is $ 4 Because of the smog, a bar in the Indian capital, Delhi, offers residents a sip of pure oxygen, but for a fee. At a place called Oxy Pure, customers can breathe ... literally. It can be mixed with essential oils such as lavender or lemongrass. This is done with the help of a pipe attached to the client's nose. The session lasts 15 minutes and costs 299 rupees ($ 4). The bar actually opened in May, but interest in it has grown as air pollution in Delhi has reached levels that it has grown into a health crisis and authorities have twice declared an emergency in which schools were closed and children closed and adults were advised not to go outside. The bar also offers portable oxygen, "sealed in cans," which people can take with them outside. Bar therapy helps not only against bad air, but also insomnia, headache and depression, says owner, 26-year-old Ivir Kumar. Many customers praise the establishment, but others criticize the idea and ask what they serve for 15 minutes of pure oxygen, provided pollution in the city is tantamount to smoking 30 cigarettes a day. Under normal conditions, the air that people breathe contains only about 20% oxygen. Its extremely high levels can actually be harmful and can even cause lung damage. Therefore, bar sessions last a maximum of 15 minutes.
